Holiday Office Closure

In observance of the Christmas holidays, Railroad Commission of Texas offices will be closed December 23-27. The offices will re-open at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 30 for regular business. Expedited Drilling Permits will be processed within standard processing times. If assistance is needed, please email Drillingpermits-info@rrc.texas.gov.

If you are planning to attend the hearing, please be aware of limited metered parking in the capitol complex area.  You may find paid parking at the Bob Bullock Museum diagonally across the pedestrian area from the William B. Travis State Office Building or there is also a Capitol Visitors Parking Garage at 1201 San Jacinto Blvd.  The only public access to the building is through the first floor from the pedestrian area You may want to consider additional time for parking and travel to the building.  A map and additional information is available on the RRC website at https://www.rrc.texas.gov/about-us/organization-and-activities/visiting-the-railroad-commission/.

16 Tex. Admin. Code § 1.7 (Ex Parte Communications):

(a)        Ex parte communications are prohibited in contested cases as provided in the APA and other applicable rules including the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.

(b)        Each party shall provide all other parties with a copy of all documents submitted to an examiner.

(1)        The attachment of a certificate of service stating that a document was served on a party creates a rebuttable presumption that the named party was provided a copy.

(2)        Failure to provide a copy to all other parties may result in rejection and return of the document without consideration.
