Revised Form P-17, Application for Exception to Statewide Rules (SWR) 26 and/or 27, is Adopted and Available Online

May 27, 2015

The Railroad Commission of Texas has adopted revisions to Form P-17, Application for Exception to Statewide Rules (SWR) 26 and/or 27, for use on or after April 8, 2015.

The adopted revisions to Form P-17 standardize the form and conform to amendments to 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §3.26 and §3.27, which eliminate the need for an exception and exception fee for the use of a turbine or coriolis meter. Operators are no longer required to file the Certification Statement for an Exception to Meter Oil or Condensate with a Turbine Meter or Coriolis Meter. However, the fee for a commingle permit remains unchanged; reference 16 TAC §3.78 for additional for information on required fees.

The adopted revision of Form P-17 is available for download from the Railroad Commission of Texas’ website.
