Commissioner Ryan Sitton Discusses Impact of Energy Policy at San Antonio Industry Breakfast
SAN ANTONIO – Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton today addressed in a keynote speech energy policy and the potential for future oil and gas industry growth in Texas and the United States at the San Antonio Petroleum Club.
“The long-term fundamentals for Texas oil and gas producers remain incredibly strong,” Commissioner Sitton said. “As we look at global production over the last six years, the United States and Texas in particular, have demonstrated an ability to dramatically increase production far surpassing what other global suppliers have been able to achieve. While current prices are a challenge, the opportunity for the United States to dominate global energy markets will become a reality when we put the right energy policies in place.”
Elected to the Railroad Commission Nov. 4, 2014 to a six-year term, Commissioner Ryan Sitton won the general election with over 58 percent of the vote.Sitton is a native Texan who grew up in the Irving area. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and met his wife, Jennifer. Following college, Ryan went to work as an engineer in the energy industry. In 2006 Ryan and Jennifer founded PinnacleAIS, an engineering and technology company focused on reliability and integrity programs for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
